Cuba Libre -
Doesn’t Cuba Libre sound way more fancy than rum and coke? They are one and the same. For your next gathering, serve this classic cocktail in some small Coca-Cola bottles. At our house, we call these small cokes – Santa cokes. Because Santa leaves them with our filled Christmas stockings. Without the rum. But I bet we’d all be okay with a little nip of rum on Christmas morning! During the year, these bottles make snappy vases as well. For this recipe, I prefer a dark rum, like Gosling’s Black Rum, and a good squeeze of lime.
Heres the recipe for:
Cuba Libre
- 2 ounces rum
- 4 – 6 ounces Coca Cola
- freshly squeezed juice of half a lime
Mix and serve over ice, or pour into small, chilled bottles.
