San Francisco Fun & Games

Posted on Wednesday, October 10th, 2012

We are back from an incredibly fun adventure to San Francisco to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary, with a side trip to Fresno to play with our granddaughter Claire and our daughter-in-law Casey.

We ate extremely well. The top photo is from Delfina’s Pizza in our old neighborhood, the Mission district, in San Francisco. Right next door is the amazing Tartine Bakery, where we got this slice of heaven – their lemon meringue cake. Of course, there were visits to cocktail bars, and I’ll share our favorites on Friday.

Raoul and I walked as many neighborhoods as we could squeeze in, and admired this Painted Lady with its’ gorgeous plantings.

The Mission district is adorned with lots of vibrant murals. This alley was filled with gems on both sides.

And here’s the star attraction of the trip – our granddaughter, Claire.
