A Nice Little Nip

Good golly – do I love Amaros. This Amaro Nonino was the first bottle to start my collection. Raoul and I had taken a marvelous cocktail class at Cuoco, here in Seattle a year ago. The talented bartender there, Cody Goodwin, had us make Manhattans with Amaro Nonino replacing part of the sweet vermouth. I was hooked. Amaros are bitter-sweet Italian herbal liqueurs, commonly drunk as an after-dinner digestif. It is delectable on its’ own. Morning, noon or night. Find yourself a pretty little glass, fill it up with some Amaro Nonino, and happiness will be yours.
