Tipsy Olives –

Here’s a speedy and savory gift to make (or keep!). Any host or hostess would welcome these Tipsy Olives as a fine addition to their pantry, home bar or appetizer tray. Or make some for future holiday gifts. I winged it with this combination of ingredients. I figured if I liked all of these flavors individually, I would like them even more all swirling around in a jar filled with a nice dry vermouth. You can follow this guideline, or customize it for your own taste.

Tipsy Olives

  • green pitted olives
  • a sprig or two of fresh rosemary
  • a sprig of fresh thyme
  • a peeled garlic clove
  • 1/4 teaspoon black peppercorns
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • enough dry vermouth to cover everything

Place all the ingredients in a glass jar with a fitted lid. Mix, cover, and refrigerate. Give it about a week to infuse.
