Copperworks Distilling Company

Posted on Monday, January 14th, 2013

You have got to love a work party where this bag of top drawer liquors sits amidst power tools, painting supplies and distillery parts. Our Saturday was spent working at Copperworks Distilling Company. Our friends Jason Parker and Kathy Humphrey along with business partner Micah Nutt, are hard at work creating a gorgeous new distillery on Seattle’s waterfront. There is no official opening date yet. The handcrafted copper stills from Scotland will be put into place soon.

Here is Jason sharing his vision.

My husband Raoul protecting the massive bar.

A detail of the beautiful bar.

Copperworks is huge – nearly 7,000 square feet of industrial goodness.

Their three massive fermenting tanks.

Raoul and Jason literally working side by side to get some storm windows back into place.

Copperworks will produce two of my favorite spirits – whiskey and gin. I am so proud of my friends’ dreams coming true, and very excited for Copperworks to open its’ doors.

I was so impressed with the Copperworks space, and their vision for it. It is going to be one classy distillery, and of course, I can’t wait to enjoy their products!
