Tangerine Rosemary Twist

Posted on Tuesday, January 15th, 2013

When I recently reorganized my liquor bottles, I found a tangerine rosemary infused vodka I had made, and sort of forgotten about. I had my newly opened bottle of Imbue’s Bittersweet Vermouth, and wanted to find new ways to use it. Vermouth doesn’t last forever. (As soon as it is opened, I keep mine in the fridge.) I started off making a martini – vodka and vermouth. Then I decided to have a heavier hand with the vermouth, and add some tangerine juice as well. Well yummy, yum, yum. Here is my easy recipe.

Tangerine Rosemary Twist

  • 2 ounces Tangerine Rosemary Infused Vodka
  • 1 ounces Imbue Bittersweet Vermouth
  • 1 ounces freshly squeezed tangerine juice

Shake with ice, and strain into a glass. Garnish with a tangerine wheel.

Tangerine Rosemary Infused Vodka

  • 2 cups good quality vodka
  • 2 or 3 sprigs of fresh rosemary – a little rosemary goes a long way
  • peel (orange part only) of one tangerine – you can use a potato peeler to skim away the orange zest and leave the bitter white pith behind

Combine the three ingredients in a clean, glass jar. Give it a gentle shake every day for 2 or 3 days. Strain and pour into a clean bottle.
