Lavender & Rosemary Sidecar

Lavender and rosemary are an herbal combo powerhouse, and elevate the flavor of this Lavender & Rosemary Sidecar to a whole new level. I have been on an herbal simple syrup kick. In the beginning of my gartending career, I infused garden flavors directly into the liquor. I still do. But I found out that I was amassing too many odds and ends. I like to invent and try some new cocktail possibility before all of the last one has been finished. Good thing the infused spirits have a long shelf life. Herbal simple syrups don’t. They need to be used in a couple of weeks. (I’ve had good luck popping them in the freezer to enjoy later too.) The plus side of herbal simple syrups is they aren’t expensive to make, and they are ready to enjoy the same day. Herbal simple syrups are perfect for someone like me with a short attention span, and an abundance of curiosity.

The Lavender & Rosemary Syrup is a snap to prepare, and makes quick work of whipping up a splendid Lavender & Rosemary Sidecar.

Lavender & Rosemary Syrup

  • 1 cup organic cane sugar
  • ¼ cup rosemary
  • ¼ cup lavender
